About the Epiphone Triumph 1945
When we received the guitar it had a center seam crack (on the backside), the pickguard and one of the frequensator arms was missing and it was strung for a left handed guitarist. We at The Guitar Company have a weak spot for vintage archtops so we decided to bring this guitar back to its former glory.
Our luthier repaired the center seam crack and made a very nice pickguard out of period-correct tortoise material. After cleaning and setting the guitar up (for right handed), we decided to equip this old jazzbox with a DeArmond FHC mic from 1948, we had this laying around for “special occasions”. What a great combination!
Overall the guitar has lots of dings and dongs, but it’s one hell of a vintage player! The mahogany neck is straight and the original Epiphone tuners are rock solid. It plays like butter and really rings like a bell.
As a cherry on the cake, the Epiphone comes with the original green lining Epiphone “E-logo” Lifton case!
