About the Gibson A-4 1911
This more than 100 year old Gibson has a carved spruce top with a birch back and sides. The headstock is finished with the classic “Fleur-de-lis” and “The Gibson” inlay. At the headstock there is an almost invisible repaired crack, structurally 100%.
The original Handel tuners are also included. These are beautifully engraved and inlaid. They’re working fine, but I would change them if you’re planning to play a lot on the Mandolin.
Furthermore, this antique Gibson is completely original (except for the bracket), even the tortoise “elevated finger-rest” (or pickguard) is in a beautiful condition. These are almost always missing. The Gibson has a beautiful projection, perfect for Bluegrass or other old time music.
Comes with an original vintage case.
