About the Harmony TG1201 1964
Harmony used nice quality materials for this guitar. The guitar has a solid spruce top and flamed solid mahogany back and sides. The neck is also made out of nice figured mahogany. The fretboard looks like rosewood, but we think it’s some sort of dyed hardwood (like many old Harmony guitars).
There are two repaired cracks on the backside of the guitar. This is professionally done with cleats in the inside of the body. There’s also some weather checking on the guitar. Overall the guitar looks great with a nice vintage vibe.
Everything on this guitar is original except for the bridge pins. Even the original brass frets still have live in them. Nice low action, but it does have some buzz higher up on the neck.
Comes with a nice non original vintage case.
