Ibanez 2460NT 1975

 0,00

Out of stock

A rare 1975 lawsuit-era Ibanez Model 2460NT, produced in Japan. The 2460NT is a convincing imitation of the famous Gibson L-5CESN. For legal reasons, the 2460NT was only produced for a year with a Gibson style headstock, which is rare. After 1975, under pressure from Gibson, the headstock design was changed.

This luxurious 17-inch Jazz box is equipped with a laminated maple body and laminated spruce top. The neck is made of maple with a rosewood fingerboard and L-5 style block inlays.

Like the Gibson L-5, the Ibanez 2460NT is equipped with a bound openbook shape headstock with “flowerpot / torch” inlay and stinger. A piece of the headplate has decayed on the bass side of the headstock, see photos. This has no further consequences in terms of structure, which is why we have left it that way.

Furthermore, this Ibanez has been upgraded with a coveted Gibson 1970's T-top PAT pickup in the bridge position and a Gibson Burstbucker in the neck position. This set is perfect for the guitar. The original tailpiece has also been replaced by an original 1960's Bigsby. And just like the Gibson L-5, the tuners have been replaced with Waffleback tuners. In short; serious upgrades if you ask us!

The Ibanez has an ebony bridge base and a Gotoh TOM bridge. In the past there has been a "pinned" bridge on the body. These holes are filled and the bridge covers these holes.

This lawsuit-era Ibanez comes with a vintage case.
