About the Recording King M-3 1939
The stamp inside the body tells us that this Recording King was made in April 1939. This workhorse has a solid carved Spruce top and laminated Maple back and sides. The original bound tortoise pickguard is a real eye catcher on this guitar.
The Mahogany neck has a chunky neck profile with a Rosewood fretboard. This Recording King is in remarkable condition. It’s survived the years beautifully and is without any cracks or damages.
The M-3 is equipped with a very classy Pete Biltoft Charlie Christian pickup and Bakelite knobs. Very similar to the Gibson ES-150.
This vintage Recording King is strung with .011 strings and the action is nice and low.
Comes with a gig-bag.
