About the Silvertone Mandolin 1950’s

This vintage Silvertone has a mahogany body and a spruce top. The U-shaped neck is made out of mahogany with a rosewood fretboard and original brass frets. The A style body is equipped with a beautiful original tortoise shell pickguard.

On the headstock we find a decorative silkscreened Silvertone logo. The original Single Line Kluson tuners are still working well. These tuners were also used on Gibson Mandolins.

This vintage instrument has no cracks, but it does show general wear. It also had a neck reset. Plays like butter and has a warm, sweet tone!

Comes with the original (beat up) Geib case.
