This Explorer has a mahogany body with a beautiful, deep cherry red finish. Despite its age, the guitar is in very good condition. It feels solid, is exceptionally resonant, and offers plenty of sustain with a direct and dynamic response.
The mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard plays comfortably. The frets show little to no wear. The headstock features the original Gibson tuning machines.
The guitar is equipped with the original 496R (neck) and 500T (bridge) humbuckers, which deliver a wide range of tones: from rich, warm clean tones to powerful crunchy rock and high-gain sounds.
Comes with the original hard shell case.
