Here we have a 1964 Gretsch Clipper. A beautiful thinline hollowbody with a rich tone and a great look. Ready to play!
This 16-inch Gretsch features a laminated maple body and a 24.5-inch maple neck with a comfortable U-shaped profile. The neck features a rosewood fingerboard and a nut width of 1-11/16 inches.
Except for the bridge, the guitar is completely original. The original pickguard does have a small tear that has been repaired.
In addition, this Gretsch is equipped with the original HiLo’Tron single-coil pickup. The guitar is currently set up with .012 flatwound strings, which produce the characteristic warm, jazzy sound that suits this type of Gretsch well.
The guitar comes with a (slightly too deep) case.
