Gretsch Constellation 6031 from circa 1952. A very interesting vintage Gretsch Jazz guitar!
This vintage 17-inch archtop has a Spruce top and (arched) Maple back and sides. The chunky Maple neck has a bound Ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl block inlays. On the headstock we find the original gold Waverly tuners and the famous Gretsch script logo. The original stairstep bridge and gold chromatic tailpiece is also present. The current pickguard is inspired by the D'Angelico Excel.
The Gretsch is currently tuned with .011 Monel strings, and the DeArmond Rhythm Chief 1100 is a wonderful addition to this guitar!
The Constellation comes with the original 1952 Lifton Case and invoice!
