Kalamazoo KTG-11 1937

 0,00

Out of stock

A pre-war Gibson-made Kalamazoo KTG-11 from c. 1937 with a beautiful warm vintage sound. The Kalamazoo KTG-11 tenor guitar was produced from 1933 to 1940 and has the same body as the KG-11. Some Kalamazoo models had a FON (Factory Order Number) stamped into the body. This KTG-11 has no FON. We suspect that this tenor guitar was made between 1937-1938, given the specifications.

This ladder braced tenor guitar features a solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. The mahogany neck has a very comfortable V-neck profile with a rosewood fingerboard.

This Gibson-made Kalamazoo was made in America, but was exported abroad shortly after. Gibsons that were shipped abroad at the time received a stamp on the back of the headstock stating that the guitar was 'Made in the U.S.A.'. In addition, we found a sticker from a music store in The Hague in the body. This guitar will therefore (in all probability) have been exported to the Netherlands at the time.

The Kalamazoo comes with a gig bag.
