Joe Daniel’s 5-string Zither Banjo 1890s
A Joe Daniel's 5-string Zither, built in London during the 1890s. The most striking feature of this banjo is the fully nickel-plated pot.
The tension ring is engraved on the top with the inscription "Daniel's Patent" and on the side with "112 Leadenhall St EC". This was the location where Joe Daniel's store used to be located.
The compact headstock is very characteristic of Joe Daniel's banjos. The triangular inlay on the headstock and end of the fretboard is not original, in our opinion.
This antique banjo has been recently serviced. Currently the banjo is strung with nylon strings.
Comes with a gig bag.
