A B&G Caletta "Private Build" Nº39 2018. This charming parlor is completely handcrafted in Tel-Aviv, Israel. The Caletta takes inspiration from pre-World War II American parlor guitars.
The X-braced Private Build has an old growth Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany sides and back, finished in a beautiful in a vintage Amber color. The neck is made of Mahogany with a Ziricote fretboard and luxurious inlays. On the open Headstock we find an elegant Ziricote headplate and 3-on-a-plate Gold Waverly tuners.
Under the bridge, near the binding, there is a small shrinkage crack in the lacquer, see photos of the top.
B&G describes the Caletta as "a modern guitar with the spirit, look and feel of vintage classics." And we fully concur with that!
The guitar comes with the original B&G case and Certificate of Authenticity.
