Fender Telecaster Custom Mocha 1973
€ 3.995,00
This 1973 Fender Telecaster Custom is an excellent example of one of Fender's highest rated models of the 1970s.
The Telecaster Custom has an ash body finished in an original Mocha polyester finish. The top and back are light brown and the sides slightly darker which makes for a nice color combination. The finish is in good condition with the usual wear especially on the pickguard. One of the witch hat knobs has a small piece that has broken off. The body is relatively light and offers the typical Telecaster sound with a wider tonality spectrum due to the combination of pickups.
The Custom has a maple neck with the “bullet” truss rod and a 3-point Micro-Tilt Neck mount; a new design for Fender in the 1970s. The neck is in excellent condition and is stamped March 1973.
This model features a Fender “Wide Range” humbucker in the neck position and the classic Telecaster single-coil at the bridge. The pickup and wiring were inspired by Seth Lover's classic Gibson designs. Two potentiometers date from the 48th week of 1972, one from the 9th week of 1973 and the last from the 15th week of 1973. The ashtray bridge cover is also still present.
This one is an excellent example of a vintage Fender from the early 1970s and is perfect for collectors and musicians alike.
Comes with a soft-case.
