Gibson ES-120T 1965
€ 2.250,00
This 1965 Gibson ES-120T was made in Kalamazoo Michigan. The pickguard with built-in electronics and the Melody Maker-style pickup give the guitar a unique character.
The ES-120T has a bound 16” thinline body of laminated maple. The top has a vibrant sunburst finish, while the back and sides have a dark finish. Due to the modular pickguard with built-in electronics, the guitar has one F-hole. The knobs are not original.
The neck is mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard and a slim profile. This is one of the last models with the sought-after wider nut width (42 mm). The original Kluson tuners have been replaced. There is a small repair visible on the top of the headstock on the left wing, see photos.
A special aspect of the ES-120T is the electronics built into the pickguard. The tone is clear with less bass than other hollow bodies, but remains warm. Because of its size and construction, the guitar is less susceptible to feedback.
Comes with a modern case.
