If you're looking for a truly special ES-125, look no further. This 1952 Gibson ES-125 is without a doubt one of the best examples we've ever had in stock.
The 16-inch laminated maple body has aged beautifully, with subtle checking in all the right places. The bridge is a neat, non-original replacement that functions well. Furthermore, the jack output has been reinforced with a jack plate, as can be seen in the photos.
The mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard plays super comfortably and has recently been refretted. The neck was once oversprayed, but there are no cracks or structural damage. There is a number on the back of the headstock, probably added by a previous owner, possibly an old Social Security number. The tuners were replaced with Schallers in the past, but now have the correct (modern) Single Line Kluson Deluxe tuners.
The electronics are almost entirely original. Only the capacitor has been replaced. The original P-90 sounds exactly as you would hope: open, lively, and instantly inspiring.
In short: an excellent (player) ES-125 from Gibson's golden years! Comes with a beautiful alligator case.
