Gibson ES-335TD Sunburst 1967

This Gibson ES-335 has been played extensively over the years, and for good reason. It plays and sounds exceptionally well. The neck is crafted from a single piece of mahogany (nut width: 1 9/16″). Due to heavy use, the finish has worn away in places, giving it a very comfortable, well-played-in feel.

The guitar was originally equipped with Grover tuners, which slightly enlarged the tuning holes. Later, Gibson Deluxe Double Line tuners (from the 1969–1974 period) were reinstalled.

One of the previous owners played the Gibson for a while without a pickguard. This has caused slight wear to the finish where the pickguard would normally be; see photos.

This Gibson is equipped with two original PAT Number pickups. The original stickers are still clearly visible on both the neck and bridge pickups. Both pickups deliver the sound you’d expect: full, balanced, and dynamic. The original Witch Hat knobs are still in place, though the potentiometers have been replaced over the years.

In short, a beautiful and well-maintained Gibson ES-335 with a fantastic tone. It comes in a later-model Gibson case from the late ’70s/early ’80s with red lining. The case handle is somewhat fragile. The original tailpiece is also still present.
