A 2016 Gibson Les Paul Special Japan Proprietary Run in Cherry finish. This model was built in the U.S. in 2016 for the Japanese market and is a successful, modern interpretation of the ’57 Les Paul Special, with the key difference being the slimmer ’60s SlimTaper neck profile.
The guitar features a solid mahogany body with a transparent cherry/wine red finish that beautifully showcases the wood. The mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard plays smoothly and responsively, and the frets are in excellent condition.
In addition, this Les Paul Special is equipped with two original Gibson P-90 pickups, controlled via a 3-way toggle switch and separate volume and tone controls.
The Special is currently equipped with an ABM wraparound bridge for improved intonation and stability. The original wraparound bridge is, of course, included and comes with the guitar.
This 2016 Gibson Les Paul Special Japan Proprietary Run is in excellent condition and offers a great combination of light weight, resonance, and classic P-90 tone, with a build quality that rivals that of the Custom Shop.
Comes with the original gig bag.
