Gibson LG-1 1963
€ 2.395,00
This 1963 Gibson LG-1 is in very good condition. It was built at the legendary Kalamazoo factory in Michigan, USA. This compact model was originally developed as an affordable Gibson for students and beginners, but has since become known for its unique character and sought-after sound.
This LG-1 features ladder bracing with a spruce top and mahogany sides and back. The mahogany neck has a comfortable rounded-C profile and a nut width of 1-11/16”. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and is in good condition. The guitar also features dot inlays, Kluson Deluxe tuners, and the original tortoise pickguard. The bridge plate has a patch. The Gibson is also equipped with a piezo pickup.
As with most LG-1s from this period, the original plastic bridge has been replaced with a solid rosewood bridge featuring a hand-carved, compensated saddle. The action is set nicely low to medium and plays comfortably along the entire neck.
Comes in a modern case.
