Gibson SJ-200 1930’s “Golden Age” Rosewood 2012

A tribute to the legendary SJ-200, in a version you rarely come across. Only 75 of this model were made, divided into two versions: maple and rosewood. This is the rosewood version. The most sought after of the two!
This particular one is truly one for the enthusiast. The body is constructed of a solid Adirondack Red Spruce top and beautiful, deeply colored rosewood for the sides and back. On the backboard, a small, almost invisible touch-up has been performed on the seam - craftsmanship, and completely stable (no crack).
The neck was recently professionally reset, so this SJ-200 plays like new again. And then something special: this guitar was built exactly during the transition period when Gibson stopped (for the most part) using ebony for fingerboard material. About half of this run therefore received a rosewood fingerboard, the other half (including this one) still received a deep black ebony fingerboard.
Finished with the classic 4-Bar Moustach bridge, Grover Imperial tuners and comes in the original limited edition Faux Ostrich case with hygrometer. Paperwork included.
