Here we have a pre-war Gibson-made Kalamazoo KG-31 from c. 1936 with a beautiful warm vintage sound. There's no date stamp to peg the year down specifically on this fellow, but it roughly dates to around 1936.
This X braced archtop guitar features a solid spruce top and Maple back and sides. The chunky V-shape mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard plays like butter and has a 43mm wide nut.
Furthermore, this vintage Kalamazoo guitar is completely original from the tuners to the Rosewood bridge. This Kalamazoo is in an amazing condition for its age.
This Gibson-made Kalamazoo was made in America, but was exported abroad shortly after. Gibsons that were shipped abroad at the time received a stamp on the back of the headstock stating that the guitar was 'Made in the U.S.A.'.
The Kalamazoo comes with a modern case.
