National (Gibson) 1145 1950
€ 1.095,00
A rare 1950 National 1145. A unique model from the period when National and Gibson were closely linked. The bodies were supplied by Gibson and then fitted with National’s own neck and finish.
The body is essentially a Gibson L-48 (L-50), complete with a spruce top and laminated maple back and sides. A beautifully designed, adjustable National-style neck was mounted on it. The result is a particularly successful combination: the look and construction of a National, with a playing feel and tonal character strongly reminiscent of a Gibson from the same period.
The National is in good condition, with a few signs of wear consistent with its age. The guitar is completely original, except for the Graph Tech bridge. The finish on the back of the neck was removed at some point, presumably to provide a smoother playing feel. The guitar was also recently fitted with new frets.
We also find the typical National details, including the distinctive headstock and the beautiful vintage look of the entire guitar. It is precisely the combination of the Gibson-inspired body with National’s unique neck construction that makes this 1145 so interesting.
This vintage National 1145 comes with a case.
