Recording King M-3 Made by Gibson 1938Recording King M-3 Made by Gibson 1938
€ 1.495,00
A Gibson-made Recording King M-3 1938. Basically the M-3 is the same guitar as the Gibson L-50, but with F-holes in the Recording King style and a 5-piece neck without a truss rod.
The serial number, on the back of the headstock, tells us that the Kalamazoo was produced in 1938. The serial number starts with “DW”. The "D" stands for 1938 and the "W" stands for Montgomery Wards.
This workhorse has a solid carved Spruce top and laminated Maple back and sides. The original bound tortoise pickguard is a real eye-catcher on this vintage Jazz guitar!
The Mahogany neck has a chunky neck profile with a Rosewood fretboard. This Recording King is in a beautiful condition. It has endured the years beautifully and has no cracks. We only found very old overspray on the sides of the body (see photos) and one of the tuners has been changed.
An excellent vintage archtop guitar with superb sound! Comes with a (slightly oversized) vintage case.
