This 1966 Guild F-30 Aragon Sunburst is a fine example of the high-quality acoustic guitars that Guild built in Hoboken during the 1960s. The model was clearly intended as an alternative to the Martin 000-18.
The guitar features a solid spruce top with mahogany sides and back, and a mahogany neck. The D-shape neck with a 43mm nut width feels instantly familiar and plays with ease.
Over the years, a pickup has been added to the guitar, making it well-suited for amplified performance. In addition, several hairline cracks in the top have been professionally repaired and reinforced internally with cleats. This work has been done neatly and securely and does not affect the playability or tone.
As is typical for a vintage instrument, it shows some signs of wear: minor dents, paint wear, and general signs of use that are consistent with its age and history.
Comes with a non-original case.
