A very beautiful vintage Alpha V-646S from the 1970s, built in the Netherlands and clearly inspired by the legendary Martin D-45. This guitar dates from the period when Martin was trying to gain a foothold in the mid-range acoustic market. In Europe, this was done under the Alpha label, while in the US the same models were sold under the name Vega.
The guitar features a solid spruce top, with back and sides made from beautifully flamed solid maple. Finished with attractive pearloid binding and a matching pearloid rosette.
The neck is made of maple and has an ebony fingerboard, inlaid with luxurious hexagon mother-of-pearl D-45 style inlays. This Alpha has had a neck reset, which ensures excellent playability and comfortable action across the entire neck.
In short: a unique and great-sounding Dutch Alpha, with “Martin DNA.” In very good condition and ready to be played again.
Comes with a luxurious vintage case.
