Martin 0-15 1940

Out of stock

A vintage Martin 0-15 from 1940. This 84-year-old instrument has been through a lot over the years, but is far from ready to retire! This Martin guarantees many years of playing pleasure and offers an unmatched sound.

This x-braced Martin 0-15 has a small '0' sized body, which makes the instrument very comfortable to play. Perfect for blues, folk and roots music. The body is made entirely of mahogany. Some cracks have been repaired (see photos) and the guitar has had an overspray. In addition, there has been a repair to the bridge plate.

The mahogany neck has a rosewood fingerboard, and on the headstock are the original tuners. In the past, a hole was drilled in the headstock, which was later filled; this was probably intended to use the guitar with a strap. A nice detail of this 1940 model is the tortoise headplate, which combined with the tortoise pickguard makes for an elegant look. The headstock also has an old repair that is solidly done.

The guitar comes with a worn (and slightly oversized) case.
