Kay “Old Kraftsman” K-1 1950s
€ 0,00
Out of stock
This impressive 17" Archtop was built in the 1950s by Kay in Chicago. It is a surprisingly good sounding archtop with lots of definition and projection.
The Old Kraftsman has a solid Spruce top with parallel bracing and laminated Maple sides and back. On the side of the guitar, a crack was once repaired, see photos. The Maple neck has a chunky C-shape profile and the bound Rosewood fingerboard features mother of pearl dot inlays.
The Old Kraftsman is equipped with a DeArmond 1000 pickup and gorgeous tortoise pickguard. On the headstock we find a decorative silk-screened Old Kraftsman logo and the non-original open geared tuners.
The action is slightly higher than normal. Playability is OK, but I would recommend a refret for optimal playability. This also reflects in the price.
Comes with a (slightly oversized) non-original case.
