Slingerland Songster Flat Top Hawaiian Model, ca. 1936, manufactured in Chicago. A pretty rare pre-war flattop!
This ladder braced Slingerland began as a Hawaiian guitar, but was converted fairly early on. The Slingerland has a solid Adirondack Spruce top and a Curly Laminated Maple back and sides.
The steel reinforced Mahogany neck has a very comfortable V-neck profile with a strapped Rosewood fretboard. Furthermore, this ladder braced guitar is equipped with a non-original oversized tortoise pickguard. There is a repaired crack on the back of the Rosewood bridge.
This Slingerland has recently undergone a neck reset and is fully tuned with a new bone nut and slanted bone saddle. Therefore, playability is good, but a refret is recommended for optimal playability.
Comes with a modern case.
