Supro Super Seven “Calypso Blue” 1964
€ 550,00
This is a Supro Super Seven, built by Valco in Chicago around 1964. A small, light guitar with a lot of character. Looks great, plays easily, and sounds raw and direct.
This short scale is nice and compact and weighs almost nothing. The body is made of poplar wood and finished in that beautiful Calypso Blue color.
The neck has a sturdy U-shaped profile, with a rosewood fingerboard and mother-of-pearl dot inlays. Original Kluson tuners are still in place, turning smoothly and holding the tuning well.
It has a single-coil pickup, with only a volume and tone knob. The tone potentiometer may need to be checked, but otherwise everything works as it should. And the sound? Perfect for old rock ‘n’ roll and blues.
The Supro comes with a beautiful vintage case.
