€ 225,00
Handmade pickguard for the 16” Gibson L-5 archtop guitar, circa 1922–1929. All Type One and most Type Two L-5s were equipped with a short, triple-bound pickguard that extended to the 16th fret. These short pickguards were attached to the side of the neck with pins and to the edge of the body with a bracket.
At The Guitar Company, we craft these pickguards by hand, using only the highest-quality materials. This pickguard is made of tortoise celluloid and features classic 3-layer binding around the edges. To ensure a perfect finish, each pickguard is polished by hand.
To ensure the pickguard fits your guitar perfectly, we leave the mounting holes undrilled, as their position may vary from guitar to guitar.
Each order comes with a free set of stickers.
