Gibson ES-125 1958

Here we have a super clean Gibson ES-125 from 1958 with a nice vibrant and unfaded Sunburst finish. A very nice example of Gibson’s “workhorse”.
The ES-125 is a 16-inch hollow body with a bound laminated Maple body. The Mahogany neck has a chunky profile with a Rosewood fretboard and the action of the Gibson is nice and low. On the headstock we find the typical gold silk-screened “Gibson-logo” and (repro) Kluson strip tuners. The overall condition of the ES-125 is very clean.
The P-90 pickup appears to be from an earlier date. The P-90 has a black/white/black bobbin. Gibson only used this kind of bobbin in the late 1940s. It also looks like the P-90 pickup has been customized. The best thing; the Gibson sounds great! So the pickup and tuners are not original to the guitar. Everything else is original.
Comes with a modern case.
