A 1991 Gibson Chet Atkins CE. The Gibson Chet Atkins CE was developed in 1982 by Chet Atkins and guitar maker Hascal Haile. The Chet Atkins CE quickly became popular among pop and rock musicians such as Sting and Mark Knopfler.
This nylon string Gibson has a chambered Mahogany body with a Spruce top. The Mahogany neck has a Rosewood fretboard with a nut width of 48mm.
The Gibson's original electronics are no longer active and partially removed. The pre-amp is no longer present and the previous owner chose to install a B-BAND piezo. This functions and sounds good.
The Gibson comes with an original brown Gibson case.
