Gibson L-4 CES Wine Red James Hutchins 2001

Here we have a particularly neat 2001 Gibson L-4 CES guitar in excellent condition. This Gibson L-4CES was built under the supervision of the now deceased master luthier James Hutchins.
As with the L-5, the L-4 is crafted with a solid carved Sitka Spruce top and equipped with the ornate Art Deco tailpiece, a wraparound tortoise pickguard and a pearl inlaid Ebony bridge.
The L-4CES has a 16″ body with florentine cutaway for better access to the upper frets. The sides and back are made of flamed Maple. Furthermore, guitar is finished in a beautiful dark red nitro finish. The one-piece Mahogany neck is single-bound with parallelogram inlays.
This Gibson feels and plays wonderfully. Nice low action from top to bottom. The L-4CES has a great sound acoustically, but plugged in the '57 Classic PAF Humbuckers come into their own, punchy and warm.
Comes with the original case and COA.
