A rare Gibson ES-175 in Natural from 1956. In 1956 only 247 Natural ES-175s left the Gibson factory.
The ES-175 is a 16 inch guitar with a bound laminated maple body and a chunky mahogany neck (nut width 1 11/16) with rosewood fingerboard.
In the past there was a humbucker in the neck position. A milling has been made in the pickguard and body for this, see photos. The guitar was later returned to its original state. The tuners and knobs of the ES-175 have also been replaced.
The ES-175 has a fantastic sound acoustically, but plugged in the P-90 comes into its own, punchy and warm.
