A Gibson ES-225T from 1959. The ES-225 was produced from 1955 to 1959. The same year as the famous '59er Gibson Les Paul.
The Gibson ES-225T is a 16 inch guitar with a bound laminated maple body and a mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard. Apart from a number of minimal signs of wear, the instrument is in mint condition.
There used to be Schaller tuners on the guitar, but the original tuners are back on the guitar. Furthermore, the Gibson has had a very light routing at the pickup. Furthermore, this Gibson is original from the bumblebee cap to the tuners.
The background story of this guitar is worth mentioning. Inside the body we find a sticker with an address in Alabama and the name “Luke H. Turner”. After research, we found out that Luke was born in 1917 and died in 1998. Luke joined the army in 1943 and then became a pastor. We can rightly speak about a blessed guitar!
The Gibson comes with a new case.
