Who doesn't love a vintage Gibson archtop? The Factory Order Number places this Gibson L-30 at 1936. The L-30 has the same body shape as the "famous" L-00 and has a carved (instead of pressed) top and a flat back.
The body has a solid carved spruce top and the back and sides are solid maple. The top has some small cracks, neatly repaired, plus two similar repaired cracks on the back.
We had a brand new tortoise pickguard made for this Gibson. The pickguard is made of the correct material and has the exact same shape as the original.
The tuners of this vintage Gibson are not the original ones, but they are period correct. Our guitar builder also made a new bridge, but the original is still there.
