Gibson L-50 1941

A beautiful Gibson L-50 from 1941 with the rare Gibson pearloid script logo. This is a rather unusual combination that we mainly see on L-50s from around 1941.
The (easy to read) FON tells us that the Gibson was made in 1941. This vintage Gibson has a solid, not to be confused with the later "pressed" top, spruce top and maple back and sides. The original tortoise pickguard is a real eye-catcher on this Gibson!
The mahogany neck has a chunky neck profile with a Brazilian rosewood fretboard. There is a small hole on the side of the heel. Probably from a removed strap holder.
The original tuners have been upgraded with StewMac Golden Age tuners. One of the better replacement tuners if you ask us. Currently the L-50 is strung with medium gauge bronze strings and the action is nice and low.
Comes with a modern case.
