Ibanez 2461NT 1977
Out of stock
A rare 1977 lawsuit-era Ibanez “Johnny Smith” Model 2461N produced in Japan. The 2461 is an excellent imitation of the famous Gibson Johnny Smith.
This luxurious 17'' Jazz box is equipped with a laminated maple body and laminated spruce top. The neck is made of maple with an ebony fretboard and Super 400 style inlays. Furthermore, the natural finish is beautifully accentuated with a tortoise pickguard.
Like the Gibson Johnny Smith, the Ibanez 2461 is equipped with an oversized headstock, Dual Johnny Smith (Super 70s) pickups, ebony fretboard, 1 ¾ nut width and a Gibson styled ebony bridge.
Over the years, the binding around the body has started to "crumb", see photos. This is a common problem and hence the reduced price. The guitar is otherwise in very nice condition.
The Ibanez comes with an original case.
