Kay Speed Demon 1962
Out of stock
This Kay Speed Demon Model K573 c. 1962 was made in Chicago. A real blues box with a hell of a sound!
The Kay Speed Demon features an arched laminated spruce top and curly laminated maple back and sides. In the dark sunburst bod we find three DeArmond Speed Bump pickups. These pickups have something special. Definitely one of the cooler sounding “off the beaten path” single coil pickups from the 60s.
This vintage Kay has a nice low action and the Bigsby makes it a very versatile guitar to play. Everything about this guitar is original except the Bigsby and the pickguard also looks like a good reproduction.
This Kay is in excellent condition. The finish is in beautiful condition and even the bindings are perfect. Good to know; the Speed Demon is equipped with the original Single Line Kluson. These also still work properly.
In short, a fantastic Blues machine with an amazing sound!
Comes with the original black chip board case.
