Silvertone 1445 c. 1962

This Silvertone 1445 was produced between 1961 and 1964 in Chicago. At the time, the advertising slogan for the 1445 in the Sears catalog was; “Sounds as good as it looks!”. There's nothing wrong with this!
The Silvertone Model 1445 Speed Demon has an arched curly laminated top. In the nicely aged finish we find three DeArmond Speed Bump pickups. These pickups have something special. Definitely one of the cooler sounding “off the beaten path” single coil pickups from the 60s.
The guitar is finished with a luxurious "checkered" binding reminiscent of Rickenbacker. Over the years, the knobs have been replaced with tasty Chicken Head knobs. The original bridge has been replaced with a Bigsby Bridge and the tuners have been upgraded with Grover Sta-Tite tuners. Furthermore, this vintage Silvertone has a nice low action and plays great!
Comes with a gig bag.
