Washburn Model 5350 1920s
Out of stock
Here we have a 1920's Washburn Lyon & Healy Model 5350. A very rare and collectable vintage ukulele made by Lyon & Healy under the Washburn brand.
This vintage ukulele has a double bound celluloid mahogany body. The neck is also made of mahogany with a beautiful Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard and mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The signature Washburn "smile" bridge even has the original bridge pins.
On the back of the head we find the model name, patent + Washburn stamped. On the inside of the body is a stamp of "Lyon & Healy" and on the whole block is a (readable) serial number.
This was one of the top models at the time with a beautiful inlay on the headstock and luxurious rosette, see photos.
The action is on the higher side, but still doable. And as icing on the cake; This vintage ukulele comes with the original Geib case with purple lining.
