About the Custom Kraft 1966
Due to steel-reinforcement this neck is perfectly straight. Fun detail; Valco was very fund of their so called “perma-necks”. They even advertised with the slogan “Say goodbye to neck adjustment forever!”. Valco gave a five year guarantee on warped necks.
The maple neck has a medium C-shaped profile and the rosewood fretboard features pearl dot inlays. The original frets are in virtually flawless condition. On the headstock we find the original open-geared tuners and the large Custom Kraft logo. The headstock design is certainly one of the coolest we’ve ever seen.
The Custom Kraft is equipped with one oversized single-pickup. This pickup sounds surprisingly good. Very cool for some early Chicago blues stuff etc.
The original electronics are untouched and the CTS pots date the guitar to the 17th week of 1966.
Comes with the original case.
