Fender Jazzmaster Sunburst 1966
€ 5.750,00
This 1966 Fender Jazzmaster is a beautiful example from Fender’s transitional period. During this time, the first Jazzmasters with a bound neck and block inlays were introduced. This is also known as a transition model. It was an interesting period in which the familiar pre-CBS specifications gradually gave way to the first changes of the CBS era.
The guitar was built in 1966 and features a rosewood fingerboard with block inlays and a bound neck. The 1966 neck date is clearly legible. The original potentiometers are also from 1966. They were manufactured in the 8th and 17th weeks of that year. The two original gray-bottom Jazzmaster pickups are dated June 23, 1966.
In addition, the guitar is equipped with the original Kluson Deluxe double-line tuners and an "F" serial number on the neck plate. The original Jazzmaster electronics consist of the standard volume and tone controls, a 3-way pickup selector, and the well-known Rhythm Circuit.
Cosmetically, the Jazzmaster is in good vintage condition. The original 3-Tone Sunburst finish is still beautifully preserved. There is some light overspray on the underside of the body. Otherwise, the guitar has a beautiful and authentic look that is well-suited to an instrument of this age.
The Jazzmaster comes with a Gator hardshell case and a tremolo arm.
