Gibson ES-350T “Jan Blok” Sunburst 1977
€ 5.250,00
This 1977 Gibson ES-350T is a special vintage Gibson with a fascinating history. The guitar once belonged to Jan Blok, the guitarist for Wim Sonneveld, among others. A wonderful piece of Dutch music history!
The guitar is in very good condition and is largely original. Only the hinge point of the tailpiece has been repaired. This type of tailpiece is known to break at that spot. Other than that, there are no cracks or other repairs.
The ES-350T features a beautiful laminated maple body with a lovely wood grain and two bound f-holes. Weighing just 3213 grams, it’s also a wonderfully light guitar. The one-piece maple neck (43mm nut width) and the bound rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl split-parallelogram inlays round out the design.
The two original Gibson T-Top humbuckers sound fantastic—full, open, and full of character. Combined with the thin hollowbody, they produce that beautiful vintage Gibson sound. The guitar also features a Tune-O-Matic bridge on a rosewood base, a black 5-ply pickguard, and gold-plated hardware. The tailpiece bears the original ES-350T engraving.
The original black Gibson case is included. The handle was replaced at some point, but the stickers from the Hilton in Jakarta and the InterContinental Hotel in Rio de Janeiro are still on it. Who knows where this guitar has played.
