Fender Stratocaster Hardtail Black 1974
€ 4.250,00
This 1974 Fender Stratocaster is a stunning example of a late CBS-era Strat with the iconic ’70s look. The combination of the (custom) black finish, white 3-ply pickguard, and maple neck gives this Strat a look that immediately brings to mind the legendary Blackmore/“Blackie” era. A true ’70s Fender with character, style, and now over fifty years of history.
The large CBS headstock with the black Fender logo, bullet truss rod, and the distinctive 3-bolt neck construction make it clear that this is a genuine ’70s Strat. The maple neck has a comfortable profile, and the guitar plays smoothly and familiarly. The frets have recently been leveled, and the guitar has been professionally set up. It weighs 3,400 grams.
In terms of sound, this Strat also has that classic ’70s Fender character: bright, dynamic, and sparkling, with plenty of attack and a generous dose of twang. From funky clean tones to rougher rock sounds.
The original potentiometers were replaced in the past with CTS potentiometers, and the original 3-way switch was also replaced with a 5-way switch. The cavity is shielded with conductive paint.
The guitar comes with a period-accurate hard case.
