Gibson BR-6 1950

 0,00

Out of stock

A charming Gibson BR-6 Model Tube Amplifier (1950), manufactured in Kalamazoo, Michigan, with a finish of brown tolex trim.

The BR-6 was introduced in 1946 and remained an important part of the Gibson line for a long time. This is the second version of the model; this version remained in production until 1956.

This amp features an original 10-inch speaker that delivers 10-12 watts of warm vintage Gibson sounds. A single brown chicken-head volume knob forms the entire control interface, along with three inputs. The original field-coil speaker is dated with the code 285-013, indicating manufacture in 1950.

The appearance of this amplifier is classy. On the front panel, you'll find a brown stenciled Gibson block logo and a metal "G" logo in the lower right corner.

In short, a great addition to your fifties Gibson guitar!

P.s. On the back of the backplate we found the address of one "McCarthy". Maybe Gibson legend Ted McCarthy used to own this amp? 😉
