Gretsch Synchromatic 100 1952
€ 995,00
Gretsch Synchromatic 100 Model 6014 circa 1952. A very interesting vintage Gretsch Jazz guitar at an affordable price!
This vintage 16-inch archtop has a Spruce top and (arched) laminated Maple back and sides. The chunky three-piece Maple neck has a bound Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays. On the headstock we find the original tuners with covers and the famous Gretsch script logo. The original stairstep bridge and chromatic tailpiece is also present. Only the original pickguard is missing.
A common problem with vintage Gretsch guitars is deterioration of the celluloid binding, and this Gretsch is no exception. The original binding is present, but has shrunk and deteriorated considerably, especially on the body.
The Gretsch is currently set-up with .012 bronze strings. Playability is fine now, but I would recommend a refret for optimal playability. This is therefore calculated into the price.
The Synchromatic comes with a chipboard case.
