Columbian Prefect C. 1939

A rare pre-war Columbian Prefect archtop from circa 1939. These guitars were made by Harmony.
The Chicago-made guitar has a solid birch body and the back and sides are veneered with faux-flamed maple. This whole is finished with a beautiful sunburst and a chic tortoise pickguard.
It plays and sounds as you would expect from a 1930s archtop. A fantastic guitar for Blues, Jump, Swing to Jazz and other Roots music.
The guitar has a chunky maple neck with a rosewood fretboard and mother-of-pearl inlays. Furthermore, the guitar is completely original except for the tuners.
The top of this vintage archtop in particular has the necessary signs of wear. Furthermore, this 16″ archtop has had a repair on the side (at the height of the strap holder) of the body. The guitar was recently professionally checked and has a wonderful low action!
The guitar comes without a case.
