Gibson ES-120T 1962
Out of stock
An early Gibson ES-120T 1962 with a beautiful sunburst finish. A simple, but effective vintage Gibson!
At the time, the ES-120T was intended as a basic and affordable Gibson hollowbody. To save production costs, Gibson chose to incorporate the electronics into the pickguard. The pickguard was then attached at the end of the process. As a result, the ES-120T only has one “F-hole”.
The ES-120T is a 16” thinline guitar with a bound laminated maple body and a mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard. Due to its compact size and light weight, a very easy to play guitar. The guitar has a great set-up and sounds great both acoustically and amplified.
Over the years, the original pickguard has broken in two places. Unfortunately, this is common with the ES-120T. The previous owner found a late 60's ES-120T pickguard and placed it on the guitar. He had the original pickguard repaired and is supplied separately with the guitar.
This Gibson is completely original except for the potentiometers. The Gibson has also had a neck reset.
The Gibson comes with a non-original case.
