Gibson LP Recording 1972

Here we have an original Les Paul Recording from 1972. The “Recording” was introduced in 1971. At the time, the Recording was more expensive than a Les Paul Custom. The launch price for the Recording was $625 and a Les Paul Custom would have cost $595.
The Les Paul Recording has a solid mahogany pancake body with a carved mahogany top. The 3-piece mahogany neck has a bound rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl block inlay. On the headstock we find a mother-of-pearl split-diamond inlay and Gibson logo, just like the Les Paul Custom.
This rare Les Paul is in good overall condition. It plays well and the electronics make it a versatile guitar. At the neck connection there is a very small gap (only at the beginning, probably due to old neck reset). The construction is solid and won't affect gameplay, but we'd like to mention it.
Comes with a non-original vintage case.
