Gretsch 6120 1958

Out of stock

The Holy Grail of Gretsch guitars! The Gretsch 6120 1958. A dream guitar for every Gretsch enthusiast.

The Gretsch 6120 has a laminated maple body and is equipped with trestle bracing. The 2-piece maple neck has an ebony fretboard with thumbnail inlays. Furthermore, the headstock is beautifully finished with a mother-of-pearl Gretsch logo and horseshoe. The tuners have been upgraded with modern Gold Grover Sta-tite tuners, but vintage Grover tuners are included.

The Gretsch is equipped with a non-original vintage Bigsby. The neck pickup has been replaced over the years, but the bridge pickup, potentiometers and wiring are original. The guitar is currently set up with a handmade bridge. The original bridge is also present.

A common problem with vintage Gretsch guitars is the crumbling of the celluloid binding. This was also the case with this 6120. That is why one of the previous owners decided to have the binding around the body replaced professionally.

This Gretsch is well adjusted and plays like butter! The electronics work seamlessly and the Filtertron pickups sound great!

This 6120 comes with a modern Gretsch case with a purple interior.
